In 2009, I discovered the Omeka digital collection management system, later known as Omeka Classic. At that time, we were considering the selection of software to manage an audiovisual repository. It had to be metadata compliant, interoperable, based on standards, free, simple, intuitive, and a sustainable software application. Additionally, the already interesting amount of plugins available at that time opened the door to future developments. Over the years, Omeka S appeared, a new semantic web-oriented solution that was equally interesting.

Later, I integrated this software into my teaching activities at the University of Barcelona, specifically in the subjects Automated Management Systems II, Conception and Design of Cultural Websites, and Creation and Management of Digital Heritage.

This database aims to collect, as exhaustively as possible, those projects from around the world created with Omeka Classic and Omeka S. The goal is simple: to provide a source of information for the most common question from my students, "Can you show us some examples of real projects?"
